IVF Acupuncture -

Hunyuan acupuncture for IVF is unique. We have discovered that the only way to increase IVF success (if the patient has to undergo these procedure) is by increasing the patient's health. More specifically it is done by increasing the patient's unification and recharging capabilities. In many cases, IVF has negative impact on the patient's health and so we do not recoomend the procedure, however for some IVF is the only option (for example when both fallopian tubes are missing or blocked). When this is the case unification style IVF Acupuncture is indeed a great option to help and improve the IVF positive outcome. Our IVF acupuncture protocols are different then the modern IVF acupuncture protocols. We do not insert needles in the abdomen, as abdominal needling increases separation (the opposite of unification) and therefore reduces the IVF outcomes.

We recommend the following three options:

IVF Acupuncture - Protocol 1

1. Initial consultation. Chinese medicine evaluation for the female partner.

2. Eighteen(18) acupuncture sessions. Starting one month prior to the IVF cycle.

Pre-IVF cycle: Two acupuncture sessions per week for four weeks.

During cycle: Six acupuncture sessions during the stimulation phase. One acupuncture session between retrieval and transfer and three acupuncture session post transfer.

This protocol is recommended for patients over the age of 40 or who have failed IVF cycles in the past and are low responders.

IVF Acupuncture - ART Protocol 2

1. Initial consultation. Chinese medicine evaluation for the female partner.

2. Ten(10) acupuncture sessions. Starting with six sessions during the stimulation phase. One session between retrieval and transfer and three session post transfer.

This protocol is recommended for patients younger then 40 and who are undergoing their first IVF cycle.

Hunyuan Herbs + IVF Acupuncture - ART Protocol 3

1. Initial consultation. Chinese medicine evaluation for the female partner.

2. Ten(10) acupuncture sessions. Starting with six sessions during the stimulation phase. One session between retrieval and transfer and three session post transfer.

3. Herbal treatment starting 4 weeks before IVF begins and stops 3 days before egg retrieval. After transfer food grade herbs to nurture pregnancy.

This protocol is recommended for patients at any age who have failed IVF cycles in the past and are interested in herbal support. Combining herbs in this protocol yields the highest IVF acupuncture success rate.
